What is Ctrl + Alt + Down in Premiere Pro?

Ctrl + Alt + Down (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + Down (Mac) is the keyboard shortcut for “Go to Next Caption Segment” in Adobe Premiere Pro.

To use this shortcut, simply press Ctrl + Alt + Down (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + Down (Mac). The playhead will move to the next caption segment in the active caption track.

If the playhead is already on the last caption segment, the shortcut will have no effect.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when using this shortcut:

  • If you have not selected a caption track, the shortcut will have no effect.
  • If you have more than one caption track, the shortcut will move the playhead to the next caption segment in the active caption track.
  • You can also move the playhead to the next caption segment by clicking the “Next Caption Segment” button in the Caption panel.
  • You can also move the playhead to the next caption segment by right-clicking on the timeline at the current position of the playhead and selecting “Go to Next Caption Segment”.
