What is Ctrl + Alt + Up in Premiere Pro?

Ctrl + Alt + Up (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + Up (Mac) is the keyboard shortcut for “Go to Previous Caption Segment” in Adobe Premiere Pro. This shortcut is used to move the playhead to the previous caption segment in the active caption track.

To use this shortcut, simply press Ctrl + Alt + Up (Windows) or Cmd + Opt + Up (Mac). The playhead will move to the previous caption segment in the active caption track.

If the playhead is already on the first caption segment, the shortcut will have no effect.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when using this shortcut:

  • If you have not selected a caption track, the shortcut will have no effect.
  • If you have more than one caption track, the shortcut will move the playhead to the previous caption segment in the active caption track.
  • You can also move the playhead to the previous caption segment by clicking the “Previous Caption Segment” button in the Caption panel.
  • You can also move the playhead to the previous caption segment by right-clicking on the timeline at the current position of the playhead and selecting “Go to Previous Caption Segment”.
